Refund policy

Regrettably, fridgeparts.com does not issue refunds under any circumstances unless pre-agreed in writing prior to purchase.

This is so that people do not use our business as a free lending library where we lose money for a customer's mistake. Or a customer's defective fridge damages an electrical part that they then attempt to send back. To this end, all parts that we sell are fully checked and tested here before we send. 

In the very rare exception we do accept a return, any refund is issued in store credit and each part is subject to a $100 handling fee to cover our time, expenses and shipping costs - as each order takes over 30 minutes to send on average.

Please see the four types of return request below for more information on each:

Damaged Part
If the part has been damaged by a courier, we will re-send the same item that was damaged free of charge with a $100 store credit for the inconvenience. We kindly ask for several pictures of the damaged item and box so that we may make a claim with the courier.

Defective Part
Defective products need to be reported within 24 hours of delivery, in which case we will send the part out again free of charge with a $100 store credit for the inconvenience caused.

Fixed Part: working order
If you ordered the wrong part, we will work with you to get you the correct part at a reduced rate. Unfortunately we do not offer refunds as standard industry handling charges of $100 and/or 25% restocking fees often render this process uneconomical, as do bank charges, our postage costs out to you and your postage costs back to us - all of which you would have to pay. We may be able to offer store credit which you can use to purchase the correct part once you have returned the incorrect part.

Electrical Part: working order
If your electrical item did not fix the problem as hoped, regrettably fridgeparts.com - as per industry standards - cannot issue refunds under any circumstances once it leaves our premises.

This is due to our inability to guarantee the integrity of the item once it arrives at yours. For example, your fridge might have any power board problem that blows any new electrical item plugged into it. 

Instead, we will work with you to isolate the problem and send you the correct item at the lowest rate possible. In some circumstances we may allow return of the first item and subtract its value from the second item - minus our postage and bank costs. If the value of the second item is less than the first item, we reserve the right to charge a handling or restocking fee.
